Overview

The Mayor is a role that gets huge power late in the game as he can choose to almost single-handedly lynch someone when there are few people left to vote. A Mayor can reveal their role to the entire town during the day with the -vote command. This will send a global message revealing their role, but then makes them unhealable under the default settings.

Strategies

  • It is best as Mayor to only reveal when it seems the town might not be able to lynch a Mafia or evil role or that the Mayor is facing being lynched themselves.
  • If the Mayor is one of two people to survive and the other is Mafia or Evil neutral, the Town will automatically lose the game. There must be at least three people still alive in order to use the voting abilities.
  • If an Investigator or Consigliere reveals the Mayor to be a "Leader among men" it may be required for the Mayor to reveal simply to avoid being lynched. This can be a good way to unify the town depending on how the discussion has been going.
  • Think carefully before voting. A slip-up by a regular towns folk frequently doesn't change much. When the Mayor votes for the wrong person, it's very easy to get a wrongful lynch.

Options

  • Loses extra votes in Cult - (Default: On)
  • Votes count for [3-4] - (Default: 3)
  • Cannot be healed - (Default: On)

  • After the Mayor reveals, their vote will be worth the selected amount. Before the reveal, their vote is worth one.
