Overview
The Bodyguard is a role good for keeping town aligned power roles[1] alive. If you person you selected to guard at night is attacked, you and the attacker die instead of person being guarded.
- For example: The Sheriff is attacked at night by the Serial Killer after the Bodyguard selected to protect the Sheriff. The Serial Killer and the Bodyguard will die, but the Sheriff will survive.
Strategies
- A common strategy is to protect whoever has revealed themselves as Sheriff, Investigator, or even Doctor; the Mayor is an especially good target to protect since under standard settings Doctors can't heal him.
Options
- Ignores invulnerability - (Default: Off)
Notes
- If the Bodyguard successfully protects someone during the night, they can not be healed by a doctor to be alive the next day.
- If death descriptions or night sequence is enabled, both you and the attacker will be reported as dying from a duel.
