Overview
Each night, you target someone and kill everyone at his house. Being at their house means targetting them with an action. If your target has targetted someone else, they are deemed "not at home" and will not be killed. Killing no one, or a Single Target will not trigger a cooldown. Killing more than a single Target will trigger a cooldown determined by the host. If a Bodyguard visits your target, they will save all players there (aside from themself) and kill you instead.
Strategies
- Target the players least likely to be attacked at night, these are generally the players who are receiving the least amount of attention. This way, the Arsonist can stack up a lot of doused targets to kill in a single night.
- The longer the Arsonist waits to attack, the more deadly the attack will become. It is often best to wait as long as possible before attacking, just ensure that an attack actually does occur however. When feeling threatened it's better to simply ignite the town immediately even if it's only killing a single player as that may shift the focus onto another player.
Options
- Invulnerable at night - (Default: Off)
- Can target self - (Default: Off)
- 1 night between sprees - (Default: Off)
- 2 night between sprees - (Default: Off)
Notes
- If an Arsonist eliminates all but one other player, the Arsonist will still win (unless that player is a Serial Killer and settings allow Serial Killer to win over Arsonist in a tie game).
- If there are multiple Arsonists in the game when one Arsonist ignites it will burn the players doused by both Arsonists.
- If the Arsonist performs no action at night it will "un-douse" the Arsonist.
- The Witch can not stop the Arsonist from igniting his targets.
- If the Arsonist gets doused either through self-target via Witch or another Arsonist, he will receive a message telling him so.
- Multiple Arsonists can win together.
- If an Arsonist is attempting to undouse himself due to a Witch, another Arsonist, or a Bus Driver and he is bus driven the night he undouses himself, the person he is switched with WILL be undoused instead of the Arsonist.
- Mass Murderers win with Survivors.
