Overview

The Arsonist is one of most deadly roles in the game when left unchecked for an extended period of time. With the Potential to drop the amount of players in the town from plentiful to very few in a single night the Arsonist is a role to be feared. The role has the ability to douse a target in gasoline or ignite all previously doused players at night. The Arsonist wins by being the last player left standing.

Strategies

  • Target the players least likely to be attacked at night, these are generally the players who are receiving the least amount of attention. This way, the Arsonist can stack up a lot of doused targets to kill in a single night.
  • The longer the Arsonist waits to attack, the more deadly the attack will become. It is often best to wait as long as possible before attacking, just ensure that an attack actually does occur however. When feeling threatened it's better to simply ignite the town immediately even if it's only killing a single player as that may shift the focus onto another player.

Options

  • Ignores immunity - (Default: On)
  • Ignores healing - (Default: Off)
  • Invulnerable at night - (Default: Off)

Notes

  • If an Arsonist eliminates all but one other player, the Arsonist will still win
  • If there are multiple Arsonists in the game when one Arsonist ignites it will burn the players doused by both Arsonists
  • If the Arsonist performs no action at night it will "un-douse" the Arsonist
  • The Witch can not stop the Arsonist from igniting his targets
