Overview
The Investigator is one of the Town's more powerful roles and necessary to the long-term survival of the Town. The role can investigate a player at night, revealing a clue pertaining to their role or their role itself depending on the settings.
Strategies
- As an Investigator a player acts as one of the main advisers to the town with regards to lynching players. The Investigator must provide reports to the town on whether or not players are suspicious.
- When dealing with a player that owns knives it is often best to avoid speaking out about them directly unless you are certain that they are not a Doctor as it could be revealing one of the Town's more crucial roles to the Mafia. It is advised instead to Personally Message (PM) a confirmed Sheriff and have them determine if they are a Doctor or Serial Killer.
- Great diligence is required if the Mafia has a consort, as revealing your clues too early may result in being role-blocked for the rest of the game.
- Always leave a last will as an Investigator with important clues that have not yet been revealed to the town. This information is invaluable. Leave a last will by typing -last will message into the chat bar
Options
- Detects exact role - (Default = off)
