  • Advanced Roles – Refers to any role that is advanced by definition. Advanced roles are usually far more complex and game-changing than basic roles.
  • Bandwagon – Refers to a follow-the-leader style of vote wherein the majority of players follow the votes of the first one or two – usually referred to when evidence is particularly flimsy.
  • Basic Roles – Refers to any role that is basic by definition. Basic roles are generally more “mundane” but necessary for the game to function smoothly.
  • BD – An acronym for Bus Driver.
  • Benign Roles – Refers to any role that is benign by definition. Benign roles are neutral roles without a specific desire to see any certain faction lose.
  • BG – An acronym for Bodyguard.
  • BM – An acronym for Blackmailer; may also refer to Bad Manners depending on the context.
  • Cit – Also referred to as Civ, a shortened version of Citizen.
  • Claim – Also referred to as Role-Claim, claiming is the act of revealing your role (truthfully or not) to the town.
  • Cleaned – Refers to when a player has been sanitized by a Janitor or Disguiser.
  • Consig – Abbreviation of Consigliere, the Investigator of the Mafia.
  • Counter-Claim – Refers to pointing out the impossibility of a certain player being the role they just claimed by claiming yourself.
  • Doc – A shortened version of Doctor.
