Applicable Situations

The private messaging (PM) system is a great way to interact with certain players and detaining the suspicions of others. Most proven town players tend to ask everybody to PM them their role. See "False Claiming". Be wary that Spys if the option is enabled, are able to read all PMs sent from anybody, to anybody.

Advantages

You may interact with other trustworthy players without interference from other players, and you have a less chance of arousing unneeded suspicion among other players.

Disadvantages

If you're a Mafia or Neutral role, the Spy might intercept information sent from your ally to you. It is best advised to be general in what you say, just like in the Mafia night chat.

Notes

To PM a player type -pm (color / number) (message). You may also use the numbers on the UI List. If somebody PMs you, you may type -r to reply to them.
