    Arsonist - Veteran relationship

    I just played a game as Veteran. I went on alert on night 1 and was visited by 4 people, 3 of which died.
    the next night comes around, I figure I will go on alert again, because I have 4 alerts, why not abuse them a lot.
    I get burned by an Arson.
    I was completely shocked at this because if, say, a Godfather visits a Veteran, the Godfather's actions are canceled, i.e. the shooting, and no one is dead. I think it would only make sense that if an Arsonist visits a Veteran, the action should be canceled, as with the Godfather, and the dousing will not occur. Their can be a message displaying to the Arson as to why it didn't douse, just as with Godfather, a message will explain why he didn't kill. But I don't see it fair that an Arsonists actions remain true on an alerted Veteran.

    A godfather's action isn't cancelled by a veteran's alert. Veterans are immune on the nights they alert, negating the shot. In your game, arsonist burning went through invulnerability. You can make the argument that alert veterans shouldn't be doused, but the comparison to a godfather's shot doesn't apply.

    That is true, but I was really just trying to relate it and make the point that I don't think and Arsonist should be able to douse and alerted Veteran. As long as the Veteran has a limit, which it always should like Vigilantes and Jailors, then I can't imagine how this would affect any sort of balance for the Arsonists.

    This game needs better logic. Surely, if a dude who could stay up 24 hours a day saw smoke rising from front of his house, he would try to escape wouldn't he? And in doing so, the same dude would take his gun and shoot the guy burning his house down. Now that I think about it, Veteran needs a buff.

    - Veterans need to be able to survive Arsonist fires
    - Veterans need to be capable of killing Night-Immune roles
    - The 2 suggestions above make perfect sense, logically

    The arson does get shot when dousing him, but is usually invulnerable and survives. He doesn't visit anyone's house when lighting up (he probably trails some gasoline over to his place, or something).

    Aside from that, I've always loved as arson being able to douse someone who's obviously a veteran. Especially if they know they were doused...getting a rise out of them when they found out their plan was foiled is hilarious.

    Veteran is much more of a town killer than a scum killer unless used correctly, but too hard with these immune motherfuckers.

    Speaking of town killer, my last game of Veteran pretty much killed off most of the town. One day one discussion, I claimed Doctor. Once that happened, 4 town members swarmed to me as I alerted. I thought that I would get at least one Mafia, but I ended up killing the Sheriff, Investigator, Detective and Lookout. Day 2, I killed a Blackmailer. Day 3, I tried to attack an Arsonist, but he was immune. Day 4, I burned in hell.

    Ahahaha, you want Logic in a game that involves a Witch? A mystical person who may cast controlling spells over people?

    Think of it like this: The Arsonist wears a bullet proof vest at all times. He runs into the house with a bucket of gasoline and the Veteran opens fire. While the Veteran is blinded by pure rage, the Arsonist throws a bucket of gasoline on him and his flammable drapes.Then runs away. The next night, he returns, gets shot at again, however he throws a match destroying the Veteran.

    Makes more sense, right?

    Well if I'm an Investigator and I visit the Veteran, he still shoots me up. The Doctor can heal me, negating the attack, however I still get my investigative report even though I was shot. It's just game mechanics.

    I love doing that, I've only done it once. That day it said "Many of us perished last night". I was like "SWEEEET"
